Lisa Isaac, CHRL, CHRP

Owner & HR Consultant

Lisa is a Certified HR Leader and Professional, passionate about helping leaders with their people. Her authentic approach to leadership is to work in partnership for sustainable success. Prior to founding the company, she worked in the manufacturing, energy, and banking industries in Alberta, Nunavut, Ontario, and in her home community, Moose Deer Point First Nation, on beautiful Georgian Bay. 

Lisa is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and the University of Lethbridge. She holds the designations of Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and Professional (CHRP) and is an active member of the regulatory body, the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA), where she coaches and mentors the HR leaders of the future. She is an active member of the entrepreneurial community and volunteers at the local college; she is committed to giving back, not only to those who supported her growth and development, but seeing her community grow as a whole. She values sharing knowledge and continuous learning, finding creative solutions, and helping others succeed. 

Lisa has been featured in a Lambton Shield podcast and print magazine as a successful female entrepreneur; as a panellist in the International Women's Day "Meet the Entrepreneur" event; as the cameo entrepreneurial video game host for the level on health and safety; and as a guest on the LinkedIn mini-series "The ABC's (authenticity, branding, and connecting) for candidates". Check out our social media for videos and links to these fun activities. When she's not finding solutions, you can often find Lisa with her dog and kayak, checking out beautiful lakes and rivers.

Rebecca Wilkinson

Senior HR Consultant

Rebecca is an experienced HR professional, having worked in a diverse range of HR and teaching roles for 25 years prior to joining LIHR. Rebecca is the provincial subject matter expert on performance management for the Ontario Colleges and is well known in the field of “Total Rewards” and we are happy that she has brought these skills with her to the LIHR team where she has built capacity among the team. 

Rebecca holds a BA from the University of Waterloo and completed her HR studies both at Seneca College and McMaster University. She went on to earn her CHRP designation in 2006 and her CHRL in 2014. Rebecca also obtained a Masters' in Adult Education from Central Michigan University and has been teaching HR students at Lambton College, McMaster University and also through Ontario Learn, an online tool that many online Colleges use. Some of the LIHR team were some of her past students!

Rebecca’s front-line HR experience ranges from the automotive sector to heavy manufacturing, to healthcare information technology, to the oil and gas sector. She also has experience working in HR in the education and not-for-profit sector and in economic and business development. This experience has led Rebecca to specialize in people and problem management for small businesses and not-for-profits and she is happy to be able to bring this diverse skill set to the LIHR team. 

When Rebecca isn’t busy balancing teaching and HR work she can be found happily planning her next trip where she meticulously constructs her own itinerary. She also enjoys cooking for her family, knitting and other math-based hobbies. Rebecca also enjoys networking with other entrepreneurs.

Justine Perdeaux

Justine is an HR Advisor with LIHR. Justine is a Certified Human Resources Professional who earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Human Resource Management and an Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Business Administration from Fanshawe College.  Justine enjoys using her experience to implement successful HR programs and advise and support organizational leaders by providing them with the tools and resources necessary to ensure that their organization achieves HR success. Justine’s main areas of focus at LIHR include Health & Safety, policy management & amendments, and workplace investigations. 

Justine enjoys coaching leaders, helping them learn how to make decisions that build healthy workplaces and increase productivity. Justine is an avid baker, and her goal is to find the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe- she is our favourite person at the LIHR potlucks! Justine also enjoys playing with her puppy Finn.

Allison Leach

HR Advisor

Allison is an accomplished HR professional who earned a B.A. from Western University, Graduate

Diploma in Human Resources Management from Lambton College and is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP). Allison also earned a Certificate from Indigenous Canada through the University of Alberta and a Certificate in Human Resources Analytics from the University of California, Irvine. Allison’s primary experience is in workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and business administration and she is passionate about using her skills in these areas to help workplaces thrive. Allison is also an experienced digital marketer. 

Allison uses these skills on the LIHR team to focus on organizational effectiveness, getting businesses

compliant on health & safety and ensuring that it's working for their teams. She is also passionate about employee engagement. Allison is the contact for Way We Do updates and onboarding and you will often find her leading learning and development sessions for WWD and a number of other trainings.

When Allison is not working with Lisa Isaac HR, she keeps busy as the owner of Woolshed Knits, a

handmade knitwear business whose creations can be found in several small businesses in the Sarnia area. Allison will also be teaching the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Course for the Business program at Lambton College starting in Fall 2023.

In Allison’s free time, she enjoys gardening, knitting, spending time with friends, family and her

Goldendoodle, and celebrating Pride and community. Allison also enjoys attending local events, farmers’ markets and supporting small businesses!

Jessica has been working in Human Resources & Operations management for over 20 years in various Indigenous & private companies. Throughout that time, she spent her time coaching, mentoring & empowering others to reach their full potential.  Jessica particularly enjoys working in fast-paced, high-energy environments while finding effective ways to communicate which includes everyone starting from the ground floor all the way up to senior management. Jessica has experience in recruiting, onboarding, performance management, mentoring, special projects & assessments as well as the organization of, justifications for, tracking the progress of & execution of confidential large-scale projects (ie. ReOrgs). While working with elders, Jessica has learned that building bridges between groups is the most important role for her and that there is always a path forward when compassion drives your team.

Dave Musil

Dave is LIHR’s office manager and brings a unique background to the role. Dave has a Radio Broadcasting Diploma from Humber College and earned a certificate through the Management Program at the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto. Prior to joining the LIHR team, Dave spent 20 years in customer relations, marketing & project management and business development and these skills ensure the office is running smoothly and that our clients and community know what the LIHR team is up to. 

Dave is the unofficial team motivator at LIHR and also the sales lead for our Way We Do software, so you may see him on a sales call. Dave is also proudly ClickUp Certified and can help anyone set up their projects in an expert fashion.

When Dave is not busy at LIHR he enjoys spending time with his kids and family, kayaking and being outdoors, and spending time with his dog Pugsley (the Pug). Dave believes that working for a business led by and staffed by strong women is setting a good example for his two daughters.

Yarexi Alvarez

Executive Assistant

Yarexi combines two fields she is passionate about: marketing and business, and is the Executive Assistant at LIHR. She studied Audiovisual Communication and Journalism at the University of Zulia in Venezuela, where she learned the basics of storytelling and worked in the media.

For more than 8 years, she has been working with different brands and individuals to promote their business through different digital channels and the implementation of effective strategies. She has experience in public relations, business management and content marketing in various industries such as technology, retail, HR, legal, and education.

Currently, Yarexi is continuing to learn and develop herself by studying Business Management at Lambton College. In her free time, Yarexi loves to watch comedy podcasts, learn new recipes on TikTok, spend time on social media and try new restaurants with her husband.
